Application for a Finance Director

The City of Shepherdsville is currently accepting applications for a Finance Director. The Finance Director is responsible for reviewing all accounting information, financial statements, payroll, investments, dept finance and other financial dealings of the city, with responsibility over city’s budget, accounting, auditing, and related financial operations; supervises employees assigned to the Finance Department..

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related field is desired.
  • Four (4) years of progressive finance experience of which two (2) years were in a supervisory capacity.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint with advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Must pass requirements to be insured under a bond or surety agreement.

Salary: $81,000 – $121,000
