📢 PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
Public Meeting Notice – Shepherdsville Infrastructure Project
The City of Shepherdsville has applied to the Kentucky Infrastructure Authority for a low-interest loan through the Clean Water State Revolving Fund, supported in part by a grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). This funding will support the Shepherdsville Blue Lick Road Drainage and Sanitary Sewer Improvement Project – Phase Two.
This project includes the installation of a new stormwater trunk line along Bullitt Lick Middle School Road, extending from near West Blue Lick Road to Shepherdsville City Park after crossing KY-44. These improvements will help create a much-needed outlet for trapped runoff that currently contributes to sewer system overload, home flooding, and unusable property. Additional new storm sewers will also be installed and tied into the trunk line.
🌧 Project Benefits Include:
• Eliminating standing/stagnant water to improve public health
• Improving roadway safety and traffic flow
• Enhancing water quality and reducing costs by preventing inflow and infiltration into the sanitary system
draft Environmental Information Document (EID) is being prepared and will be reviewed by the Kentucky Division of Water.
