Burn Permit

If you’re planning to conduct controlled burns within the Shepherdsville area, we’re here to assist you in ensuring the safety of both your property and the surrounding environment. Please fill out the following information to apply for a burn permit:

Special Notes

Fire Hazard Season: Please be aware that from October 1 to December 15 and from February 15 to April 30, burning within 150 feet of any woodland area is allowed only between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m.

“Non-Attainment” Counties: Between May and September, there are further restrictions on open burning in specific counties. These counties include Boone, Boyd, Bullitt, Campbell, Jefferson, Kenton, Lawrence, and Oldham. These areas were previously designated as “non-attainment” for ozone and/or particulate matter.
