Lateral Firefighter

The Shepherdsville Fire Department is accepting applications for the position of Lateral Firefighter.

Application packets may be picked up November 3-26, 2025, at Shepherdsville City Hall, 634 Conestoga Parkway, Shepherdsville, KY 40165. Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, possess a high school diploma or GED, and have a minimum of two (2) years of full-time firefighting experience. A current CPAT card or exemption per KRS 95A.0.40 is required. Applicants must not have any felony convictions or pending prosecutions. Misdemeanor convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

The filing deadline is  4:00 p.m. on November 26, 2025.
